Southern Alberta Intergroup of OA
SAI Board and Committee Positions
The SAI Board and Committee members provide service to OA members in Southern Alberta.
All members of OA are welcome to attend and offer service at the group and Intergroup Level. Board Positions are elected and have abstinence requirements, but there are committee positions and other service opportunities for all members to help organize events such as marathon meetings and retreats.
To find out more, speak to your group representative or feel free to attend any monthly SAI board meeting.
For more information about the SAI positions or to apply please read the following information in the links below or download an application!
PLEASE NOTE: The Bylaw Review Committee met in April 28th to discuss possible changes to the bylaws.
Our review suggests several grammatical and language changes to make things more inclusive and 2 major changes. After careful discussion, Article III; Section 1; Item D was added to clarify who is allowed to report on group activities at SAI meetings. Article IV; Section 4 was moved from the Policies and Procedures section to the Bylaw section of the document. Proposed bylaws can be viewed/downloaded here.
All changes are highlighted in red or struck out. These revisions were posted on the SAI website May 1 (30 days prior to the AGM) for the fellowship to review. At the AGM meeting, all OA members present will be able to discuss and vote on these amendments. The grammatical/ inclusive language can be voted on as a whole instead of each individual change if the group chooses.
